The email is sent with an attachment called “Instruction.zip” if you open the attachment your PC will be infected by a virus called Worm.Win32.AutoRun by Kaspersky or the Trojan.Kobcka.

If you have already run or opened the attachment and your PC is infected you might want to check our Removal instructions..

Update and scan your PC with your Antivirus software, if you don’t have an Antivirus software program you can manually remove it by following the instructions below.

1. Use Task Manager to terminate the malicious program’s process.

2. Delete the original worm file (the location will depend on how the program originally penetrated the victim machine).

3. Delete the following files:

%System%\xtemp1.exe
%System%\xtemp2.exe
%System%\ssmicrco.scr
%System%\config\usereventv.evt
:\boot.pif
:\autorun.inf

Please note the letter between <> () stands for the letter of the main hard disk. (This is the drive that Windows is stored on, if your drive is d or e, just change with the drive letter.

4. Delete the following folders:

%WinDir%\web\webpf
%WinDir%\web\webdc
%WinDir%\web\webpt
%WinDir%\web\webhp
%WinDir%\web\webxs

5. Buy or download a free Antivirus programme, update it and perform a full system scan.
Remember not to open attachments that you are not expecting.
