Police Chiefs were being rewarded for failure, why I call it strange is because in the end if there is a problem where prisons are full of prisoners it is a burden on the tax payers and when it comes to rewarding for failure again it is a new burden for the tax payers in the United Kingdom.

Half of the forces in England and Wales boycotted the reward and one of the Police Constables along with her other colleagues “morally” opposed this scheme. On the other hand three chiefs of Lincolnshire Police rated one of the six worst forces in England and Wales shared £40,000 pounds as a reward.

Britain’s biggest force which is Metropolitan Police received a mid ranking but 37 officers shared a payout of £210,197. The scheme covers 200 police officers and if all of them are given the full bonus this will cost the tax payers nearly £1.5 million.Lot s of people have criticised this reward scheme as they think that this is a reward for failure not for performance.

If there were bringing the crime rate down and they deserved the reward the tax payers will always be happy to reward them, but the assessment by the HM Inspectorate Constabulary found the force “poor” for tackling organized crime and investigating “volume crime” such as burglary.

Organized crimes are increasing day by day and the best way to tackle them is to have competent law enforcement officers on board. The money should be spent on hospitals and schools rather than rewarding for failure. For poor performance they should be shamed and for best performance they should be rewarded this is how the world is going. If we performed badly at work, our jobs would be a risk. We certainly would not get rewarded.

How many of us have had tickets for parking offences? This picture was taken in Billingham Town centre, Cleveland. The picture clearly shows that the police van is parked on yellow Zig Zag lines.

There was a parking enforcement officer patrolling in the area, our reporter asked her if it was ok for the police van to park on the yellow lines, she didn’t make any comment.

The car park is within a 30 second walk to the police station so it’s safe to say that the driver wasn’t responding to a call and was visiting the station.

Now is it ok for the police to park this way?

The Highway Code states “You MUST NOT Park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines. You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians.”

As you can see by the picture, the police van is empty so we can assume that it must be parked.

A police officer confirmed that “if we parked in the same place our car would be towed away for obstruction.”

First shameful act was committed by the person that parked the van, secondly, the parking enforcement officer should have treated this incident the same as any other.

Many of us have been caught and fined for breaking traffic laws and rightly so, but shouldn’t we all be expected to be treated the same way as anyone else, and regardless of our status. Help us spread this post to the rest of the world, maybe public pressure could help the system and make all the laws equal.

It is really shame that the police sometimes don’t know what they are doing. I think we should appretiate the guy who filmed this video for taking such a bold step to film the whole incident.

A crowd of interested children get the chance to hold the gun and try on a SWAT style helmet and body armour at the community fair in Limehouse, East London.

A police force is being heavily criticised for letting 7 year-old school children hold their machine guns. Armed police officers even let pupils pose for pictures with the Koch MP5 and Heckler guns at a school summer fair.

A police representative claims the scheme was an initiative to learn the children about the perils of guns. The police force in Limehouse, London, was branded ’stupid’ and the police force has been accused of glamorising guns.

‘We’re tragically accustomed to seeing pictures of young boys wielding rifles in Liberia or Mogadishu but in Limehouse?’ George Galloway a local MP said. ‘The foolish display can serve only to normalise firearms or make them appear attractive, even glamorous.’ Armed police officers were also showing off body armour, a bullet-proof shield and a Swat-style helmet. The police also had unloaded hand guns attached to their side.

The event was staged only a mile away from where 35-year-old Curtis Adrian Smith was killed outside nightclub last month.

Police have defended the event, saying the scheme would stop people being involved in gun crime. ‘We’ve done this kind of thing in other places and it’s been very successful, and we will continue it in the future’ said Supt Andy Tarrant, from the Met’s CO19 unit. All the weapons were disabled and posed no risk to any members of the public, he added.

I’m not sure how letting children play and pose with guns is supposed to prevent gun crime, how do the police know that other events like this have been successful?

Tell us what you think.

A man was arrested after he took a photo of a police officer reversing the wrong way up a one-way Street. The photograph taker was arrested for being drunk, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. He was then locked up for five hours before being released on bail.

Mr Carter, of Bedminster, Bristol, said: “I was nearly knocked down there once so when the police van went the wrong way I sort of said, ‘Hey mate. No entry’. But he just shouted out of the window, ‘F*** off — this is police business’.

“It was very frightening. All I had done was photograph these police officers doing something illegal, but I was the one who ended up being arrested.”

The police officer was on his way to the chip shop to look at CCTV footage of an offence that had happened earlier.

Mr Carter was never charged as all offences were dropped. He complained about his wrongful arrest and he received an apology at a disciplinary hearing from the arresting officer.

Now Rob Beckley, Deputy Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset Police, has written to Mr Carter saying: “I would like to add my apologies.

“We expect the highest standards and PC Farooq fell below what was required. His colleagues feel he let us down and he has learnt a difficult lesson.

“He realises his actions were totally unacceptable and he could and should have apologised to you much earlier.

“I will be meeting him in the next few weeks and will reinforce our expectations of his behaviour.”
