Lady Gaga struck out with the New York Yankees on Friday, but only because her timing was foul.

The singer showed up to that night’s tilt against the crosstown Mets sporting a partially unbuttoned team jersey over an exposed bra, black bottom and fishnets.

Last week Lady Gaga performed obscene gesture to photographers at the stadium of the New York Mets during a game. This weekend took place in the same city (at Yankee Stadium), the highly anticipated game between the Yankees and Mets and Lady Gaga was not lost, even though we do not understand how it is possible that last week and cheer for the Mets this once it is spotted with a shirt (open, without any problem) of the Yankees…

The singer encouraged the Yankees before paying a visit to the dressing room after his team’s 4-0 loss.

It is reported that Lady Gaga was very affectionate with the Yankees for being drunk, and the NY Post said he was barred from continuing the team’s clubhouse after his antics. However, Brian Cashman, GM of the Yankees, rejected the accusations: “There is a time for these things and that was not. After a loss is a bad time. This has nothing to do with it. It has to do with a decision to let her up and let this happen. She did nothing wrong. The problem is internal and has been handled.”

What we do know is that after the match the singer was not allowed to enter the locker room to greet the players.

“She’s not banned,” clarifies general manager Brian Cashman. “Celebrities aren’t banned. If Michael Jordan showed up here he would have access (to the clubhouse), but not after a loss.”

It turns out the issue was one of circumstances, not personality.

It seems the clubhouse is still a safe place for Lady Gaga to lose her inhibitions… just not after the Yankees lose a game.

Critics around the world raved about the first leg of The Monster Ball Tour, which Gaga described as “the first-ever pop-electro opera.” The Sun called it “breathtaking stuff” and “the best live show you will see this year,” while London’s Independent wrote: “Gaga’s got it, which is why, right now, the whole pop world wants to take a ride on her disco stick.” Writing about her show at Radio City Music Hall, the New York Times noted that “her Monster Ball tour always provided something worth a snapshot: a sci-fi tableau, perhaps, or a skimpy, glittery costume. The more her image gets around, the better Lady Gaga does.”

Lady Gaga’s 2010 North American leg of The Monster Ball Tour will begin on June 28th at Montreal’s Bell Centre, taking her spectacular show to 31 top arenas and a host of new cities in the U.S. and Canada throughout the summer and fall.

In keeping with Lady Gaga’s flair for the theatrical, as well as her innovative and creative spirit, the second leg of the tour promises to push the limits of the live concert experience, bringing fans a spectacle even more eye-popping than what they experienced during the thrilling first leg of The Monster Ball.

“It’s still called Monster Ball, but it’s more of a musical and less of a concert,” Lady Gaga said in an interview with KIIS-FM’s Ryan Seacrest. “It has a New York theme, it’s a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we’re going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost.”

Lady Gaga continues to expand the scope of her North American tour, nearly doubling the length of the Monster Ball Tour’s early 2011 leg.

New Monster Ball concerts, added late last week, include an extended February 21-22 run at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, as well as shows on February 24 at Verizon Center in Washington, DC; March 14 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX; and March 28 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Lady Gaga extended her Monster Ball Tour into the New Year due to the large number of sold-out concerts on her summer 2010 calendar. And the expansion isn’t complete yet, according to the artist’s official Web site, which notes that additional cities and venues will be announced in the near future.

When MTV News spoke to director Ryan James Yezak earlier this month, he told us all about the making of his totally excellent “Telephone” tribute vid and then, in passing, mentioned that he was also working on a special birthday present for his muse, Lady Gaga.

Yezak was asking for “Happy Birthday” messages from his fellow Gaga enthusiasts, which he hoped to edit together into one singing, strutting birthday card for Lady G. At the time, it seemed like a pretty nice—if not slightly fanatical—gesture, but that was about it.

And suddenly, Yezak’s birthday video became a very big thing. Which is good, because he clearly spent an inordinate amount of time working on it. He received submissions from nearly 150 of Gaga’s biggest fans from all around the world (England, Malaysia, Germany, Brazil, Spain and Italy, to name just a few), then edited them together into one epic, nine-plus-minute message, filled with a whole lot of tears, some outrageous costumes and genuinely touching messages too.

In the clip, Gaga fans thank her for inspiring them, for giving them courage to be themselves and, in the case of one fan, giving him the strength to come out of the closet. There is also plenty of singing and dancing, a whole lot of makeup and even a few special birthday wishes. It’s a pretty touching thing and it’s no wonder Gaga was moved when she saw it.

And as for Yezak, well, he still can’t believe that Gaga saw the video, writing in an e-mail to MTV News that the whole experience has been “pretty amazing,” and writing on his Twitter account that “anything is possible.”

The singer, who turned 24 on Sunday, celebrated the day in a bar in Australia, where she is currently on tour, reports the Daily Star. And Gaga was so touched by the tributes paid to her by fans, she posted a link on her Twitter.com page to a video made by devotees wishing her happy birthday.

Lady Gaga, currently taking her Monster Ball tour around the world, comes to the UK for a series of gigs later this year, starting at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham on May 27th.

On the social networking site, she wrote: “Thank you so much for all the beautiful birthday messages, videos, and gifts. The greatest present I’ve been given this year is you. I love u. I’m 24 today, so you know what that means? Let’s raise a glass to 30 more years of writing music and videos for my beautiful little monsters… I’ve never cried so hard in 24 years, from pure joy and unconditional love. Tears are streaming.”

Green Day’s current album, American Idiot, has been cresting the modern rock charts, most notably with the infectious, trans-genre, Boulevard of Broken dreams that reminds fans of the acoustic Time of Your Life chart topper. Now the band is playing in large, indoor venues away from the dimly lit night clubs from where they sprouted. Does this mean they’ve finally sold-out and gone commercial? When people were beginning to tire of the angst-ridden sounds or Nirvana and Pearl Jam, Green Day opened the door for the post-punk alternative scene. Lady Gaga’s former boyfriend, producer and business partner, is suing the pop star for $30.5 million, claiming he was pushed away after their failed romance.

The introduction to the $30.5 million lawsuit lodged by producer/songwriter Rob Fusari against his former collaborator and girlfriend Lady Gaga opens with the most famous quote from English playwright and poet William Congreve.

“Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned/ Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned,” reads the intro, which includes another lyrical flourish with the added emotional argument, “All business is personal. When those personal relationships evolve into romantic entanglements, any corresponding business relationship usually follows the same trajectory so that when one crashes they all burn. That is what happened here.”

Songwriter-producer Rob Fusari lawsuit contends he transformed Stefani Germanotta into “Lady Gaga” and switched her rock riffs with dance beats to make her songs commercial hits.

“We have no comment,” Lady Gaga’s publicist told the Press on Thursday night.

Lady Gaga, one of the world’s hottest recording acts, won two Grammys this year for her debut album.

Robert Meloni, Fusari’s lawyer, borrowed a line from William Congreve’s tragic play “The Mourning Bride” to set the stage for his arguments.

Lady Gaga was the woman scorned when Fusari ended their romance, according to the suit.

“All business is personal. When those personal relationships evolve into romantic entanglements, any corresponding business relationship usually follows the same trajectory so that when one crashes, they all burn. That is what happened here,” the suit said.

The story starts with 20-year-old Germanotta riding a bus from Manhattan to Fusari’s studio in Parsippany, New Jersey, to work on music in the spring of 2006.

“Fusari was expecting someone a little more grunge-rocker than the young Italian girl ‘guidette’ that arrived at his doorstep and was worried that he had made a mistake,” the court papers said.

“Fusari then asked her to play one of her songs on the studio piano and within seconds, (he) realized that Germanotta had star potential. The trick would be coaxing it out of her.”

While Fusari thought Germanotta’s songs were brilliant, they lacked commercial appeal, the suit said.

“He pushed her to explore different musical genres,” it said. “Over the course of the next several months, Germanotta commuted from New York to Jersey seven days a week, radically reshaping her approach. They put their focus on writing music and finding a sound for her.”

Fusari takes credit for convincing her “to abandon rock riffs and add dance beats. He demonstrated how the sound of a drum machine would not hurt the integrity of her music.”

The suit claims Fusari created her stage name by accident. A text message intended to read “Radio Ga Ga,” named after the Queen song, was changed by spell check on his cell phone to “Lady Ga Ga,” it said. “Germanotta loved it and ‘Lady Gaga’ was born.”

Their romance grew as they were “working intensely in such close emotional quarters,” it said. Germanotta and her father soon signed a contract with Fusari giving him a 20 percent share of her career, the suit said.

The romance declined after Lady Gaga gained and then lost a record deal with Island Def Jam, it said.

In a seriously brilliant fusion of two of Hollywood’s most powerful starlets, it looks like Miss Piggy is going to get a little inspiration from none other than the always-interesting Lady Gaga in a new ‘Muppets’ film currently in the works. According to The Hollywood Life, Miss Piggy “ends up becoming like a Lady Gaga-esque character living in Europe” in the new Jason Segal-penned film.

The writers of the film, tentatively titled ‘The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made’, are still figuring out the direction of each character, but one thing is for sure–this will likely be different from other Muppet movies. ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ scribes Segal (‘How I Met Your Mother,’ ‘I Love You, Man’) and Nicholas Stoller will likely bring their fresh (and twisted) senses of humor to the kid-friendly feature, but still maintain the feel-good vibe we’ve all come to love.

“The film finds a human couple and their muppet friend racing to get the old gang–all now retired entertainers–together for one last hurrah in order to save their old TV studio from an oil giant who wants to destroy it,” The Hollywood Life reports.

Add to that the news that Kermit has become “destitute”–”the main characters find him living in squalor”–and I think you’ll agree you have the potential for tears and social commentary amid the laughter. Perhaps most intriguing, though, is the fate of Miss Piggy, who these days is apparently “a Lady Gaga-esque character living in Europe.”

Whether Piggy will reprise Gaga’s famous Kermit costume has yet to be revealed. The important thing is that Kermit-the-real-life-Muppet, as opposed to Kermit-the-character-in-the-Muppet-movies, was fine with that particular outfit choice by her Ladyship, and subsequently even escorted Gaga to an awards ceremony. Back then, People magazine asked him whether he wasn’t “creeped out by a woman who’d just been photographed wearing a dress made out of, well, him (or close relatives)”. Kermit’s reply? “I was just happy it wasn’t made out of anyone I recognised.”

Well quite–it all looked desperately unlike unofficial merchandise. Still, if our fun-fur vaudevillians are looking to get their own back, couldn’t Miss Piggy enliven the movie by wearing a costume made out of hundreds of mini Gagas–or would that be a referential warp too far for the young audience to get their heads around?

If you had to pick the one thing that Lady Gaga and Alexander McQueen
had in common, it was the ability to pull off an eccentric, jaw-dropping show.

But now that McQueen has passed, Gaga is paying tribute to the designer by scaling back on her normally outrageous performance style.

According to U.K. paper The Sun, Gaga will take the stage at tonight’s Brit awards in a plain black leotard to play acoustic versions of her lesser-known songs, “Telephone” and “Dance in the Dark.”

According to a source in The Sun, Gaga’s original Brit performance – which included a “water dress” and renditions of her more popular songs, like “Poker Face” – was ready to go, and Gaga scrapped it all at the last minute feeling that it would be inappropriate.

Gaga, who seemed to emerge out of thin air to become the definition of fashion in the extreme, has been called McQueen’s unofficial muse – those 10-inch, space-age heels she rocks in her “Bad Romance” video were crafted by McQueen himself.

While most celebrities released statements at the time of McQueen’s death, Gaga was silent, posting only a picture of herself with the late McQueen on her Twitter page.

Aside from recording music, Lady Gaga contributed to a number of charities and causes throughout her career. In the wake of the 2010 Haiti earthquake there were numerous celebrities working together for the cause of helping restore what had been destroyed, and also helping those left to survive.

Gaga donated all of her proceeds from the January 24 show of her current tour, the Monster Ball (ticket sales, merchandise, etc.), and from her online store; the total amount donated was over $500,000.

She has also been very proactive with raising awareness to young women about the risk of HIV/AIDS. Along with recording artist Cyndi Lauper, Gaga teamed up with MAC AIDS Fund’s VIVA Glam campaign, which raised over $160 million to fight against AIDS and HIV, and bring awareness about the diseases to women around the world.

By purchasing VIVA Glam lipgloss and/or lipstick, all of the proceeds goes directly towards the fund to aid those infected with the disease.

In a statement, Gaga said that, “We want women to feel strong and feel strong enough that they can remember to protect themselves. To have this lipstick as a reminder in your purse, that when your man is laying naked in bed, you go into the bathroom, you put your lipstick on, and you bring a condom out with you…There are no exceptions.”

It has been reported that Lady GaGa had a spat with a man who was making rude and offensive comments about the stars gender.  It is alleged that rising Poker face star was having a night out with friends at Ottawa night club.

The unnamed man seen Adam Lambert and Lady GaGa the man started making homophobic remarks aimed at the pair. Witnesses say “the man was calling them freaks” he continued “your both going to hell”

Lady GaGa was then said to tell the man that he could “call me whatever you like, but calling my friends names is war”

Lady GaGa then reportedly threw a drink over the man before leaving the club; GaGa never reported the incident and no arrests were made.

Rumours that Lady GaGa is hermaphrodite started while she performed at the Glastonbury festival; a picture of her on stage seemed to reveal what looked like a male body part.

Recently GaGa had urged President Obama to enforce equal rights at a recent march in Washington.
