Bolton set to announce Owen Coyle as the new Bolton Boss; bookies have suspended betting on Coyle taking over from Gary Megson.

Owen Coyle dodged the post match Burnley news conference to open discussion with Bolton about becoming the new Bolton manager.

Burnley boss Owen Coyle watched his side Burnley beat MK Dons 2-1 in the third round of the F.A cup, he then made a quick exit without attending a press conference, Owen Coyle was said to be heading for a family reunion in Scotland.

Nevertheless, it is believed that Coyle will be having talks with Bolton to sort out his managerial future after Bolton received permission from Burnley to speak to the Scot about replacing Gary Megson.

It’s now understood that Owen Coyle has a get-out clause written in his Turf Moor contract and he is very interested in finding out what his old club Bolton have to offer in terms of available transfer money. Bolton has supreme wealth compared to Burnley making them favourites to sign him up, Coyle believes he can take Bolton further than he can Burnley.

An insider from Bolton said “it no secret that we want Coyle to replace Megson” “the stumbling block could be the compensation that Burnley are wanting if the move does goes ahead”
“I would expect some movement over the next couple of days.”

Bolton supporters have been calling for the manager’s head as results have been poor this season. Bolton manager Gary Megson is blaming key players for underperforming, he says that there don’t understand that the club is in big trouble.

Bolton are sitting 19th in the premier league and have only picked up 4 points from a possible 18. Bolton do have a game in hand on the teams around them, however their need to start winning games sooner rather than later.

Bolton manager Gary Megson said: “I don’t like criticising my players publicly but three or four of them are not playing like I know they can.

“We’ve got exceptional players who are not playing as well as I know they can. Our club deserves better than this. We’re in trouble.

“With two home games coming up, there has to be a realisation of what we’re doing.

“The message is not getting through to a few of the players.”

Bolton’s next to matches are at home, Man City is first up, followed by West Ham, should Bolton lose both games, Megson may find himself in trouble.
