Girl nine seriously injured by car

A NINE-year-old girl is in hospital with serious injuries following a road accident on Saturday.

The girl was on Tithe Barn Road in Stockton, near Cassop Walk, when a Seat Leon collided with her at around 7.05pm.

The car knocked her into an parked Peugeot 306.

The nine-year-old suffered a fractured leg along with head and back injuries.

She is now being treated at the University Hospital of North Tees where her condition is described as serious.
