UK White Christmas on the cards

Parts of the UK is expecting up to eight inches of snow by Friday teatime. Bookmakers have slashed the odds on a White Christmas, Ladbrokes yesterday cut the odds on London experiencing a white Christmas from 5/2 to 2/1.  Some parts of the UK have been hit with snow but will see much more in the coming days.

Some areas of London saw snow yesterday, but more heavy snow is due on Friday. High ground areas could see up to eight inches fall overnight with London expecting up to four inches.

Weatherman John Winters said we the best chance of a white Christmas than we have had for years.

Northern England will miss out on the heavy snow falls, and will only see light snow towards the weekend.

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning ahead of the expected falls.
